Grow Watts, grow!

4 Jan

We were lucky to have Duke student Morgan Carney with us last semester. Morgan did a photojournalism project (¬†on our school’s garden-and-cooking project for a class she takes at Duke University. Her professor, Susie Post Rust, is a George Watts parent. The end result speaks for itself.

Absolutely wonderful! I am a sixth grade science teacher in Guilford County NC and I KNOW what a lot of work a school garden can be. I enjoyed your video so much that I was moved to tears thinking about the life changes that have been made by reattaching communities to the ground that sustains us all : )

    Morgan’s photos are heart-breakingly beautiful.
And you must feel a great sense of pride in what you have built at Watts!!
You are truly having an impact on the world, making this a better community to live in. And planting seeds in children that will grow into incalculable returns.
Like Lenny Sue, I also cried with happiness to see this slide show.
